Thanks to all the veterans for defending our country again and again
I live in Memphis, in a neighborhood that was rumored to be nice, but as it turns out, sometimes isn't. I have a neighbor who calls himself 'Rooster', another who answers only to 'Yo G!' Life is rarely dull, as the average Memphian has an IQ slightly higher than Forrest Gump, and acts accordingly. A small number of Memphians are geniuses. Even fewer still have hearts of gold. Unfortunately, in the war for our future, the Forrest Gumps seem to be winning. Come read all about it.

Whether it be Veterans Day, or Rememberance Day: We will remember them.
Hats off to the proud people who have served to protect freedom. Sometimes doing the right thing means doing it even if you stand alone. I honor you all.
Amen, Memphis Steve...
You know, one of my favorite sculptures of all times is the Dough Boy statue there at Overton Park... I saw it not long ago... it doesn't seem as big as it used to when I was a kid...
Thanks for posting this!

I was in the graveyard today and saw a tombstone from an Army Airborne Ranger that had a giant bronze angel with a sword standing on the head of a demon. It was the most impressive thing I'd seen in awhile and contrasted sharply with all the motherly female angels on everyone else's tombstone.
Thanks to all the military, current and past and to their families for their sacrifice.
BBob, I agree
